Mike Jansen lives near Paradise Beach. He works for a local lumber company and frequents Paradise Beach on weekends or prime time after a storm turns over the beach. He has an expert eye for Paradise Beach agates. I had the pleasure to meet Mike in the Summer of 2010 and found his collection to be excellent and true to the Paradise Beach variety on Minnesota's North Shore. Mike is an agate man and he doesn't part with them easily! Here are photos of a few I acquired from Mike although this represents only a small sample of his total collection. 	Agate ID: jansen_001 Weight 28 grams. 3/4" x 1 1/8" x 1 3/8". Beautifully shaped and balanced Paradise Beach agate with many small eyes. This is a larger cousin to agate_061. Polished.
	Agate ID: jansen_002 Weight 30 grams. 7/8" x 7/8" x 1 1/2". Excellent red/green husk. Rare to find them this large.
	Agate ID: jansen_003 Weight 5 grams. 3/8" x 5/8" x 3/4". Excellent concentric pattern on both ends of this mustard. This is fits the family of hard white-mustards although most of the white has worn off.
	Agate ID: jansen_004 Weight 2 grams. 3/8" x 1/2" x 1/2". A glowing translucent. Small, but, prime.
	Agate ID: jansen_005 Weight 13 grams set. Smalls less than 5/8". Beautiful natural smalls sooth the soul as they tumble like diamonds through your hands.
	Agate ID: jansen_006 Weight 16 grams. 3/4" x 3/4" x 1 1/4". Excellent red/green husk. Light colored agate exposed, not quartz.
	Agate ID: jansen_007 Weight 23 grams. 7/8" x 1" x 1 1/8". Excellent green husk with a facinating exposure that features a small dark amythyst core.
	Agate ID: jansen_008 Weight 7 grams. 5/8" x 3/4" x 7/8". "Maggie" the little aggie turtle has real personality and might just become this web site's mascot for Paradise Beach agates!
	Agate ID: jansen_009 Weight 9 grams. 5/8" x 7/8" x 7/8". Interesting exposed pattern on this classic Paradise Beach agate. Telltale dark spots catch the experienced eye, especially in the water.
	Agate ID: jansen_010 Weight 7 grams. 5/8" x 3/4" x 1". Classic creamy Paradise Beach exposure similar as agate_046.
	Agate ID: jansen_011 Weight 2 grams. 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/2". Nice contrasting concentric pattern.

	Agate ID: jansen_013 Weight 7 grams. 5/8" x 5/8" x 1". I was a bit disappointed to find this nodule is semi-transparent (when held up to a light). Quartz filled! Nice shape and balance otherwise.
	Agate ID: jansen_014 Weight 6 grams. 1/2" x 3/4" x 7/8". Great dual-colored husk on one side! The other side is mostly interesting although has a small quartz weakness poking through.
	Agate ID: jansen_015 Weight 2 grams. 3/8" x 1/2" x 7/8". A Mustard.
